A Christchurch street food icon, Fritz’s Wieners got their start with a little kiosk that popped up in the Arts Centre and The Square offering something that the city hadn’t known it had been missing; premium smoked bratwurst sausages in traditional Bavarian style, served in a freshly baked baguette bun, garnished with onions or sauerkraut and topped with your choice of mustard. Sounds pretty simple, right? But they turned out to be life-changers! (You’ll know what we mean after you’ve eaten one!) Soon these famous saussies were popping up in other centres around New Zealand, and now over a million customers have been lucky enough to tuck into their juicy deliciousness – but Fritz’s Wienermeisters haven’t forgotten their roots, which means you can still get their nationally-beloved goodness on the streets of Christchurch – at Re:START Mall, of course. Their food court kiosk powers out their delicious range all week for both dedicated fans and delighted new customers. We reckon go for the Spicy Bratwurst with tomato sauce and wholegrain mustard – you won’t regret it!
